</i>The Institute of Communications Research at the University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks to fill a regular entry-level,
tenure-track position beginning August 16, 2008, in its historic Ph.D.
program and growing undergraduate media studies program. Desired
qualifications include a Ph.D. or advanced ABD in communications or a
related field, with a research specialization in one or more of the
following: <br><br>
cultural studies of media, <br><br>
media industries, <br><br>
law and policy, <br><br>
global media, <br><br>
social science approaches,<br><br>
feminist theory, <br><br>
science studies, <br><br>
new media, <br><br>
children and the media<br><br>
writing for the media.<br>

Responsibilities include interdisciplinary scholarly research and
teaching in both undergraduate and doctoral programs. Salary: Negotiable,
based on experience and qualifications. Salaries are
competitive.<br><br>
