year's scholarship was won by Canberra
architect Iain Maxwell who is currently studying a the Architecture
Association

international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural
relations. We build relationships and understanding between people in
the UK and other countries. One of the ways we do
this is by offering scholarships and awards to talented young

the
scholarship </span></font></b></p>
<p

face="Arial" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The objective of
the Landerer UK Arts
Scholarship is to strengthen the relationship between the UK and
Australia
by supporting an outstanding postgraduate student in the arts and
creative
industries to complete a Masters course in the arts and design in the
UK. </span></font><b><font size="3"><span
style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold;"></span></font></b></p>
<p
style="margin-right: 51.95pt; margin-left: 0cm; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;"><font
face="Arial" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The scholarship
is $30,000 to
contribute to the costs of tuition fees and stipend. </span></font></p>
<p><font face="Arial" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The
scholarship is managed on behalf of the Landerer family by the British
Council
in Australia.
John Landerer is a Sydney solicitor who wishes
to support closer ties between Australia
and the UK.</span></font></p>

<p><b><font face="Arial" size="3"><span
style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold;">Criteria and eligibility </span></font></b></p>
<p><font face="Arial" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The
Scholarship is open to any Australian citizen aged 30 or younger on 1
October
2008. </span></font></p>
<p><font face="Arial" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">In
2008, postgraduate studies in the UK
