This is a formal call for expressions of interest for the following position <BR>
on the CSAA executive:<BR>

<B>Postgraduate Representative<BR>

If you are interested in this position, please send a short statement (up to <BR>
250 words) to paul.magee@canberra.edu.au describing: i) your current <BR>
position / enrolment / relation to the university, ii) your research <BR>
interests, and iii) where you would like to see the Cultural Studies <BR>
community heading.<BR>

Expressions of interest need to be received by Monday 2nd of July 2007. The <BR>
current CSAA executive will elect the representative in the ensuing weeks.<BR>
<BR>
NB The duties of representatives are not particularly onerous. By the same <BR>
token, they involve having considerable say in the running of the <BR>
association and the setting of its policy agendas. Formally, the duties are:<BR>

1) </FONT><FONT FACE="Verdana, Helvetica, Arial">To partake in debates relevant to CSAA administration and policy <BR>
<BR>
2) To collect information about CSAA events and initiatives among their constituencies and <BR>
supply this to the Secretary, the Newsletter Editor and the Website Editor <BR>
<BR>
3) To supply the Newsletter Editor with at least one 500 word piece on an issue <BR>
relevant to practitioners of cultural studies in Australia and New Zealand.<BR>

NBB To be eligible you must be a paid-up member of the CSAA (anyone who was <BR>
registered for the full three days of last year’s conference is <BR>

obvious, you must be a postgraduate / completed postgraduate student seeking <BR>
