<div>Applications are invited for appointment to this position, which
will be offered on a full-time tenurable basis, to commence 5 December
2005 or as soon as possible thereafter.<br>
<br>
Applicants are expected to have experience as a journalist together
with a PhD (or near completion) in a discipline relevant to
Journalism, Media and Communications. Research and teaching interests
in journalism are essential, as is a proven ability to communicate and
work effectively and co-operatively with colleagues and students.<br>
<br>
Successful experience of undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching,
particularly using non-traditional or flexible delivery teaching
modes, would be an advantage. A record of scholarship and publication
in Journalism, Media or Communications is also preferred.<br>
<br>
An appointment at Academic Level A will have a total remuneration
package of up to $64,537 per annum (comprising salary within the range
$41,289 - $55,160 plus 17% superannuation). An appointment at Academic
Level B will have a total remuneration package of up to $79,924 per
annum (comprising salary within the range $57,935 - $68,311 plus 17%
superannuation).<br>
