<div><font face="Times">Applications are invited for appointment to
the above position, which will be offered on a full-time tenurable
basis, to commence in early 2005.</font></div>
<div><font face="Times">Applicants are expected to have a PhD and a
strong disciplinary background in an area relevant to Media Studies.
In addition, applicants should be able to teach in introductory units,
and have research and teaching interests in new media, including
practical engagement with digital technologies.</font></div>
<div><font face="Times">Successful experience of undergraduate and/or
postgraduate teaching, particularly using non-traditional or flexible
delivery teaching modes, would be an advantage. A record of
scholarship and publication in Media Studies is also preferred. A
proven ability to communicate and work effectively and co-operatively
with colleagues and students is essential.</font></div>
<div><font face="Times">The appointment at Academic Level A will have
a total remuneration package of up to $64,537 per annum (comprising
salary within the range $41,289 - $55,160 plus 17% superannuation). An
appointment at Academic Level B will have a total remuneration package
of up to $79,924 per annum (comprising salary within the range $57,935
- $68,311 plus 17% superannuation).</font></div>
